About FurPile.info

FurPile.info is a system designed to help fursuiters find pictures they are in and at the same time help photographers have their pictures found by relevant people and more. FurPile.info will do this without ads. FurPile.info will instead help the photographer increase their potential support by displaying donation links such as the photographers Patreon, Ko-fi, or Paypal on the pages displaying the photographers photo. FurPile.info will NOT place ads or intend to make an profit from the photographers photos.

How is Furpile financed, how will it make a profit?

The main goal is not to make a profit but to help people find their pictures. Furpile’s goal is to become a community runned by the community itself. The photographers and users comes first. Furpile will do everything it can to promote the photographer and information relevant to the picture itself. The information we want to showcase has the following priority with every picture.

1. Who the photographer is
2. Ways to support the photographer
3. Source if Furpile is not the main source, or the picture has alternative sources.
4. Information about the picture such as tags, location, time and who are in the picture.
5. Technical info about the picture if available.

FurPile.info will focus on helping out the photographer and providing the service for their users without demanding anything in return. We hope that we can help many photographers getting their pictures seen by many more than today. And by that increase the potential support a photographer gets, and maybe then some photographers will help support FurPile.info in return, and keep this system running.

Why do this?

After a convention or event or whatever, fursuiters struggle to find and keep track of photos they are in. Every fursuiter knows that hundreds of pictures have likely been taken, but he/se will never see most of them. Often because they don't know the photographer or can’t remember the name. Don’t know where the pictures get published or how to find them. And it’s similar for the photographer. It’s hard and nearly impossible to keep track of everyone you took a picture of, or remember the name if it was mentioned.

Vision

FurPile.info’s vision is to index all fursuit pictures to give the fursuiter and photographer a common place to find each other. We wish to give the user the experience of finding while still offer good ways to explore and helping the photographer get more support and creditation.

After a con or event, every fursuiter is desperately looking for their pictures.

Every fursuiter is as interested in seeing their pictures as the photographer wants them to be seen.

We intend to simplify that process without having anyone change where they do their business. We don’t want people to stop using a service to use furpile instead. We want to help connect everything together.
